What is MOPS
  1. What is MOPS?

    MOPS is a place to find friendship, community, resources and support for you as a woman and mother. Founded almost 40 years ago, MOPS holds and shares the collected wisdom of mothers and experts (usually one and the same!)     * Community: MOPS provides an open, caring, and accepting atmosphere where women can come together to share this important season of life.
    MOPS is built on several foundational principles:
    * Mentoring: Mature women listen, encourage, and offer information and perspectives gained through experience.
    * Practical Instruction: Teaching focuses on areas of common interest, offering inspiration and information that is relevant to the life of a mother.
    * Leadership Development: MOPS groups are organized and run by mothers of preschoolers, as well as for mothers of preschoolers. Women who are involved in MOPS gain confidence in their leadership skills through the training and experience they receive from MOPS.

    Birth to Kindergarten
  4. What can I expect from a MOPS meeting?

    -Moms, just like you, looking for a connection to other moms
    -Great speakers on relevant topics to encourage you
    -A warm, caring environment where you can be yourself
    -An opportunity to explore your creative side on Creative Activity days
    -A warm meal served just for you
    -Trusted childcare while you are getting recharged
  5. Who can come to MOPS?

    Any woman who is pregnant or has a child who is in Kindergarten or younger
  6. I am pregnant, can I join MOPS now?

    Yes! MOPS is for all mothers (and mothers to be) of children ages birth to kindergarten.
  7. I homeschool my children, can I bring them,too?

    Yes! We have childcare for children of all ages!

Crossing MOPS
  1. When & Where does the Crossing MOPS group meet?

    The 3rd Friday of each month 9:15-11:15am

  2. How can I get more involved with MOPS?

    Get to know other moms by attending your small group get togethers outside of MOPS and the Mom's Night Out events that we have scheduled each month!


    You could also get more involved by volunteering! MOPS mornings are designed to meet the needs of all moms and it takes many of us to make that happen! Send us and email at WestminsterMOPS@gmail.com and we will find an opportunity for you to serve! :) 
  3. What if I am not a member of The Crossing @ Birchwood?

    The Crossing MOPS is for ALL moms with pre-school age kids (birth - Kindergarten), regardless of religious affiliation. ANY MOP (Mother Of Preschooler) is welcome!
